  Aside from the crispy batter on the catfish, the food is average and several offerings are overpriced. The servers run the gamut from caring and friendly to rude and neglectful. And the kitchen botches up orders on a regular basis. We experienced unprofessional, neglectful service from female servers during each of our last 3 visits. Taking our orders and never checking on their progress. No refills offered. Long, long lapses without coming by our table. And no accountability for incorrectly filled orders and the resulting long delay. The catfish just ain't worth it.

  This is how a restaurant should be. This is a must go to place. This food is some of the best I have had in years. The catfish was as fresh as possible with no fishy smell and great texture. The batter was perfect and showed imagination by eliminating the practice of over corn-mealing the fillets
  
  The hush puppies were great as well. I loved what they did with the cocktail sauce. Traditional style with a Couple of added flavors. Very nice.

  The home was beautiful and the girls were sweet and quirky, but unfortunately that was the extent of the good. We ordered 3 waters and fried pickles as an appetizer. It took over 30 minutes just to get the pickles. We then ordered our dinner, 3 meals and it literally took over an hour to get our food. I got the crab cakes which could not even be eaten with a fork because the outside was like leather and the only flavor was that of 1 VERY extreme unidentifiable seasoning which made it inedible. My fiancee got catfish, it wasn't inedible but when I say there wasn't any seasoning I mean AT ALL, not even salt and pepper. It was the most bland catfish I've ever had. I was extremely excited to try this restaurant as I had been wanting to try it for years... Needless to say I was extremely disappointed, so much so that I felt the need to leave a review which I never do. I am very sorry to say I will not be returning nor will I ever suggest this place to others.

  Good food and good service. Will definitely go back and would recommend it. No ghost encounters in our visit though.
